The primary endeavors of the Evergreen Venture Capital Association (EVCA) are:
- To provide a medium through which firms located in Washington state and
primarily concerned with venture capital may confer, consult and cooperate in matters of mutual interest;
- To promote and maintain high standards of conduct by the venture capital community; and
- To undertake and pursue projects that benefit the community and promote the virtues of venture capital investment.
A qualified applicant is any organization responsible for investing funds
in venture capital opportunities, whose principal or subsidiary office is located in
the State of Washington and who is primarily concerned with and actively involved
at the time of application with the creation, development and funding
of capital ventures with the principal objective of financial return from the investment.
Upon the Board’s receipt of a completed application, the Board will forward it to the members
for approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting of members.
Voting may also be done by telephone or e-mail.
Applications for membership must be approved by an affirmative vote of
at least two-thirds of the Corporation’s membership.
All members shall have equal rights and each will be entitled to one vote
in the election of Directors and on other corporate matters.
Voting member firms shall vote solely through a duly authorized representative.
A one-time application fee of $500 will be charged to each new member,
and annual dues will be $250 per year.
In addition, fees may be charged on a per-person basis for attendance at EVCA-sponsored events.
Attendees of meetings and events are limited to investment professionals within member firms,
unless specific events are designated otherwise.
